Luke 4 Months...

Luke says, "Hello Everyone!"
Luke turned 4 months old on Friday! We go to get his four month shots tomorrow. His new endeavors include sitting up all by himself for about 5 seconds, hehe, swatting at toys that hang overhead, and reaching out for toys. He loves his play mat his Aunt Jenny gave him!

His little personality is starting to shine! He almost always wears a smile (unless it's bottle or sleepy time). He looks for mommy and daddy when he hears our voice, loves other smiling faces, and he LOVES his new Rockin Jitter Buggy (especially when he gets to wear Pawpaw Mitchell's hat)...

What a big boy he is...

Taking a trip down memory lane...

Let's back up a bit and start from the beginning:

Luke Hunter Mitchell changed our lives forever on September 27th, 2011. Mommy and Daddy didn't know how much love they were capable of until he took his first breath on that Tuesday at 12:24 pm. Little man was 20 1/4 in long & 8.12 lbs!
We were eager to take him home and settle into our new lives.

Here are a few pics of Lukeman's first three months...

3 Months and the start of a beautiful bloggin relationship...

Well this is my first blog post! I'm excited to share our little adventures and milestones! Luke is 3 1/2 months old now. He got his first fever this month, and boy was it a doozy : ( He started daycare on January third, and then we received a letter the following week that he was exposed to RSV. Supposedly it is pretty dangerous for babies under 6 months to get. He started running a fever of 101.1 Friday night, so we rushed to the ER @ Children's Hospital. 5 hours later we got back home with a, "He's just got to fight it out and let it run its course" response. GRRR. We went back to the doc Monday and found out he had a right ear infection and also had to get him breathing treatments. It was pitiful! I'm sure we will have many more episodes like this with him in daycare now.  ER visit- $150, follow up visit-$30, antibiotics & breathing treatments-$80, unoccupied daycare week-$100 ...peace of mind knowing your baby's ok...priceless.
