A Week Full of Firsts!!!

This week has been the most fun week with Baby Boy! Being on spring break has been such a tease for when summer comes. I feel like Luke and I have such a stronger bond now that we have gotten to actually spend a whole week together. It's going to be really sad going back to school and taking him back to daycare.

Oh well, enough of my whining ;) Here is what Luke has been up to this week...

He loves playing and bathing in the big tub now!

He also fed HIMSELF a WHOLE bottle...

He played outside in his pool for the first time today...

He also ate meat (turkey & rice) for the first time today and started pulling up on his own!!!!!

Luke is 6 Months Today!!!!

Wow, it doesn't seem like 6 months have passed by since that sweet little gift from God came into our lives on September 27th, 2011.
Luke's 6 month close ups...

We went on our first family trip this weekend to Helen, Georgia. Luke was the most perfect traveler on the way down there. He slept the entire 3 hrs!!! On the way back was a different story...but we'll get to that later.
We had the best time!!! I cannot wait to take Luke back when he's older and let him play in the creek. He had an awesome time playing with his best friend, Piper (who was also down with her mommy & daddy) in the pretty flower beds along the streets.

There was so much to do, and so little time, but he had to sneak in a quick nap. He was pooped....

We went up to the park and Luke had his very first swing! He LOVED it :)
The next morning, we headed home. We didn't want to rush home and wanted to stop at fun little places along the way. There was an awesome little grist mill and coffee shop we stopped at to sum up our trip in Helen...

We stopped in Atlanta at Bass Pro Shops and found that it was connected to a mall called Discover Mills. This place was so cool!!! It had a Bass Pro, Dave & Busters, & a Medivial Times in it! I have never seen anything like it. It seemed like something out of the future. Lukeman was a little eager to get out at the state line, so we pulled over at the rest stop and chilled for a half hour. Then we loaded up and headed back home.

Luke laughed a real laugh!!!! Finally! Chase had him in his lap and was playing fetch with our big dog, TJ, and when he back with it, he laughed! It was precious! I just happened to be walking back through at the right time :)

Another milestone: He rolled over from his back to his belly! He has already been rolling from belly to back, but this one is new for him! I had him on his playmat, and was turned away talking to Chase. I turned back around and he was flipped over, lol. I turned him back on his back, and low and behold, he rolled right back over. So many new things happening!!!!

5 Months and sitting up on his own!

With every new week comes new and exciting things. Little man is eating solids now, sitting up on his own, and sleeping through the night (most nights) without a midnight bottle. Every once in a while, he gets too cranky to be calmed down any other way other than 2 ounces. Yes, 2 ounces! lol, little booger.

The most exciting thing this month is....

SITTING UP ON HIS OWN! No, this is not typical. Luke is Super Luke! hehe

Eating solids has been fun, but scary. His ezcema acts up easily with solids. So far, he is allergic to bananas! I have never heard of bananas being an allergy food, but that has been the only thing that seems to aggrivate him. I have been told this is a common thing. His new endeavors list, as of yet, includes: pears, sweet potatoes, carrots, and just added tonight- green beans. He is not a fan of them either, lol. He'll scarf down some carrots though!

The funniest thing Lukeman has started doing is making razzberry noises with his lips. I hope I never forget how funny and cute these moments are. I still, to this day, cannot believe just how much love I have for this little part-of-me person. Nothing is more precious.
